Service Station Decommissioning and Remediation

Overview

Resolve Environmental successfully completed decommissioning and remediation activities at a service station facility in a sensitive, high density area of Sydney.

Operating as the primary contractor, Resolve successfully demolished and removed the above ground infrastructure including buildings, canopies, bowsers and concrete.  Following which the six underground storage tanks, associated fuel lines and triple interceptor were safely extracted and appropriately disposed of.

A soil remediation program was then undertaken to ensure that the final site condition would render the site suitable for the proposed redevelopment, remove the potential for the site to Subsequent to infrastructure removal, a soil remediation.

By gaining a thorough understanding of soil and groundwater conditions prior to commencing field works, Resolve was able to develop a lump sum, capped cost for the remediation works, thus providing the client with financial certainty on the project.

Resolve’s dedicated team of professionals has extensive experience in all aspects of environmental management at petroleum facilities from compliance groundwater monitoring through to demolition and remediation.  The lump sum/ capped cost approach also provides clients with the certainty needed to make commercial decisions.
